MTV Italy har netop addet Steven Malcolm ’Cardio’ til deres playlist. Videoen er udvalgt i genren Urban/Hip Hop Top 10, hvor den kommer i selskab med bl.a. Drake, Cardi B, The Kid Laroi m.fl.
Hiphop-sværvægteren Steven Malcolm byder på en gang aggressiv dosis af motivation for at imødekomme nogle af livets større udfordringer.’Cardio’ er en fængende inspirations single. ”Jeg ville lave den hymne, jeg ville have lyttet til i gymnasiets omklædningsrum før en stor kamp,” fortæller Malcolm. “Denne sang handler om at eje den storhed, der er resultatet af det hårde arbejde og den slibning, der er lagt i rejsen og udviklingen. Steven Malcolms næste album ’Boats’ er klar til udgivelse i begyndelsen af 2024 (23. februar). Det bliver den længe ventede opfølgning på det 16 track album ’Tree som for nylig modtog en 2023 GMA Dove Award-nominering i kategorien årets Rap/Hip-Hop Album. Det markerer Malcolms syvende Dove Award-nominering i karrieren.

Curb | Word Entertainment recording artist Steven Malcolm hits the ground running on his fresh track, “Cardio,” The high-energy pre-game pep talk leads Malcolm’s forthcoming studio LP.
Pounding the pavement with every 808, the hip-hop heavyweight offers an aggressive dose of motivation for life’s biggest challenges on “Cardio,” cleverly name-checking a broad spectrum of celebrities, brands and innovators across the track’s spitfire lyrics. “‘Cardio’ is the catchy summertime inspiration single. I wanted to make the anthem I would have listened to in the high school locker room before a big game,” shares Malcolm. “This song is all about owning the greatness that results from the hard work and grind put in the journey. We all have a race to run. To be great and keep keeping-on takes two things: a little inspiration and cardio!”
Poised for release in early 2024, the Michigan native’s next studio set is the highly anticipated follow-up to his familial 16-track collection, Tree, which recently received a 2023 GMA Dove Award nomination in the category of Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year. The nod marks Malcolm’s seventh career Dove Award nomination.
